Take some time to look around and read a bit from my gallery. If you read anything, comment on it. I don't bite, even if you do.

If you're wondering why I no longer have any long works, just snippets and first chapters, it's because I've decided to focus on the goal of traditional publication. I will post very small snippets as sort of previews to my works, and I will post things here as a final destination for publication. I will not post whole stories that are works in progress. I may call for beta readers from among you, my SA readers, though.
If you want to get your story published, please take note of this. Many publishers want first-publication rights from first-time authors. Once your story is available publicly for reading online, it is considered published and loses its first publication rights. Since it's available online for free, many publishers don't see how they can make a profit by publishing it.
Publishing online is not a bad thing. Self-publishing via Lulu.com or in other ways, also not bad. A book published online is not any better or worse than books at bookstores just because it's online instead of in stores. Authors like Mark Twain have self-published to much success. (Yeah, Mark Twain!) I just encourage writers to know their publication options and understand what they mean.
There are much better sources on explaining the ins and outs of publishing than little unpublished me. Don't take my word or example as law.
QUOTES!
To explain my screen name: "The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone." ~ From The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
"I wrote the books I should have liked to read if only I could have got them. That's always been my reason for writing. People won't write the books I want, so I have to do it for myself: no rot about 'self-expression.' " ~ C.S. Lewis
"I'm not young enough to know everything." ~ J.M. Barrie
"Music is the art of thinking with sounds." ~ Jules Combarie
"Alchemists tried for centuries to turn base metals into gold. Every time we sit down and put words on paper, we succeed where they failed. We're conjuring something out of nothing." ~ Jonathan Stroud in his NaNoWriMo Week One Pep Talk
I've finally gone and gotten myself a domain, which was either an awesome idea or a terrible one. There isn't a lot up there because I'm doing it in my spare time around classes and things, and also because I don't want to put loads of information up about settings and characters only I care about. When/if I get things published, stuff pertaining to those things will probably go up in more detail. Also, vague information about my major projects will probably go up there.
Don't worry about missing out on pieces of writing. Anything story-ish that I want to put up, I'll put in my SA gallery and not on my site. I enjoy the SA community that way :)
Back to working on Jeneva for me. Hope all's well for all of you!
